Dorset Street, Westmere

JRA Construction renovated and extended this character villa on Dorset Street, Westmere, balancing the home's original weatherboard charm with a new living space built for how the family actually lives today.

The scope carried through the full home, from a reworked hallway and kitchen to a new deck and French doors opening the interior onto the garden. Original details like the villa's crown mouldings and sash windows were retained and restored alongside the new build work.

The result is a home that reads as a single, considered whole—true to its Westmere streetscape from the front, and quietly modernised where it counts.
